About The Farm

our history and commitment

Named for the beautiful misty valley created by the creek running through its center, Misty Valley Farm is a family owned and operated vegetable and egg farm in Allen Township, Pa.

Years ago, the property was a family farm with grain crops, livestock and expansive gardens. Since purchasing the property in 2009, we’ve been returning it back into a working farm. Over the years, the land has evolved into a small ecosystem of diverse plants, birds and pollinators. As the farm progresses, we strive to be ever more sustainable and continue that evolution.

Our passion for farming stems from a desire to provide fresh, organically-grown food for ourselves as well as our community, while making a positive impact on our environment. At Misty Valley Farm, we are committed to following organic growing practices. All of our vegetables are grown without synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides or genetically modified organisms. We employ systems of composting, cover cropping and crop rotation to promote healthy soil – in turn, promoting healthy plants and vegetables. Any products we must use on the farm are approved by the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI).
