I’VE REGISTERED. NOW WHAT?

Closer to your first CSA pick-up, you will receive an email confirming your pickup day. It will also contain any specific information you may need for picking up your share at the farm.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT IN MY SHARE?

The type of produce you receive changes with the seasons. Early in the season, you can expect more leafy greens and spring roots. As summer arrives, your share will consist of vegetables like tomatoes and melons. The season closes with some hardy greens and cold-loving root crops. Each share consists of some quantity of each vegetable that is in season that week. You can view a more detailed example of the types of items per season here. Amounts of each item correspond to the unit sizes you would see at the grocery store – a head of lettuce, a bunch beets or carrots, etc. 

WHAT IF I AM UNFAMILIAR WITH A VEGETABLE IN MY SHARE?

Part of the fun of a CSA is trying new crops! We have a recipe page on our website to which we are continually adding recipes that feature produce we grow. Speaking to other members while you’re at the farm is also a great opportunity for recipe swapping!

WHAT IF I GO ON VACATION?

If you are away, you can have someone else pick up your share while you are gone. You may also put your CSA delivery on hold by notifying Angela by phone at 610-428-8139 or by email at aelink@mistyvalley.farm at least 48 hours before your scheduled delivery. You may make arrangements to receive a double share at the next pickup to make up the value of the missed share. You are allowed one vacation hold per season.

WHAT IF I MISS A PICKUP?

If you miss a pickup, contact the farm as soon as possible to schedule another time to come for your share. If we do not hear from you, your box will be held for 48 hours.
